Fall River Public Schools in Massachusetts is dealing with a cybersecurity incident. On Monday, April 8th, 2025, the district’s chief information officer detected unauthorized access to parts of the internal network. The school district immediately took action.
The IT staff swiftly responded to contain the situation. They are working with outside cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to investigate the breach. Currently, there’s no evidence suggesting student or staff personal data was accessed or misused. However, the district promises to notify affected individuals if the investigation reveals otherwise.
Superintendent Tracy Curley reassured the community: “I want to assure everyone in the Fall River Public Schools community that we take cybersecurity and the protection of students’ and staff members’ personal data extremely seriously.
