PSI Software SE, a software developer based in Germany specializing in complex production and logistics processes, has officially confirmed that the recent cyber incident it reported is indeed a ransomware attack. This attack has significantly affected the company’s internal infrastructure.

PSI Software Ransomware Attack Confirmed to Have Impacted IT Systems

PSI Software Ransomware Attack was confirmed on February 15, PSI Software made an official announcement stating that it had experienced a cyberattack, prompting the disconnection of several IT systems, including email, as a precautionary measure to minimize the risk of data loss.

In a recent update, the company has confirmed that the disruption was a result of ransomware actors targeting their systems. However, they are still in the process of determining the exact method used by the intruders to gain access.

“We detected unusual activity in our network during the night of February 15, 2024. As a result, all external connections and systems were successively shut down still in the night”
